Pesticides are important. They help farmers grow more food on less land by protecting crops from pests, diseases, and weeds as well as raising productivity per hectare. Without crop protection, including pesticides, more than half of the world’s crops would be lost to insects, diseases, and weeds. Currently, about 925 million people around the world – one in seven of us – are going hungry.
Over the last 35 Years we made an impact that is strong & we have long way to go.
To reduce hunger, we need to increase food productivity. Pesticides help farmers do that. Pesticides not only protect from insect pests, weeds, and fungal diseases while they are growing, but also prevent rats, mice, flies, and other insects from contaminating foods whilst they are being stored.
Business Values
At clinara our culture comes to life through three core values:
The pesticides or other toxic chemicals used to protect the crop may remain on or in the food after they are applied to food crops. The maximum allowable levels of these residues in foods are stipulated by regulatory bodies in many countries
These pesticides or similar toxic materials can be harmful to humans and animals. If consumed along with the food, they can cause acute or chronic health effects.
